Notice of Special Meeting with Delaware City Council & Change of Meeting Date for Delaware City Schools Regular Board Meeting
Delaware City Schools will hold a special meeting on Monday, March 9, at 6pm at Delaware City Council Chambers (1 South Sandusky Street). Items of discussion will include a presentation from the City of Delaware, a presentation from Delaware City Schools, and a discussion of items of mutual interest to the City and the Schools. No action items will be considered at this meeting.
The regular Board Meeting for Delaware City Schools Board of Education that was scheduled for March 9 will be postponed to Monday, March 16 at 5pm at Willis Education Center (74 W. William Street). The Board will immediately enter into executive session, with the public board meeting anticipated to start at 6pm. A full business agenda will be considered.

Government Finance Officers Association is pleased to announce that Delaware City
School District has received GFOA’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting (PAFR Award) for its Popular Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024.
The Award represents a significant achievement by the entity. In order to be eligible for the PAFR Award, a government must also submit its annual comprehensive financial report to GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Program and receive the Certificate for the current fiscal year. Each eligible report is reviewed by judges who evaluate the report based on the following categories: reader appeal, understandability, distribution methods, creativity and other elements.

The Delaware City Schools Board of Education adopted the 2026-2027 School Calendar.
