Degrees and Certifications:
This is my 16th year serving the Delaware community as a teacher and coach. The last several years, I have taught Psychology, U.S. History, World History, Sociology, Current Issues, Geography, Economics, and American Government. I have coached basketball, baseball, and softball. I have also served as a member of the district's facility committee, a class advisor, and been in charge of graduation. This is also my 13th year coaching basketball at Hayes, the first five as an assistant and the last eight years as head coach.
This year I will be teaching Government and Economics. My favorite part about teaching is developing relationships with students and then using that as a tool to help them realize their potential. I believe in a student-led, interactive learning environment. Students must be able to pursue knowledge regarding their own personal interests to reach their capacities, so we gear class toward student-led instruction.
I graduated from Ohio University in 2004, with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies Education. I received my Master's Degree in Psychology and Leadership Development in 2011 from Walden University (MN).
I am an avid reader, a sports enthusiast, and a Delaware resident. My wife (Lindsey) and I were married in 2007. We enjoy traveling, playing golf and spending time with our family and friends. She is from San Francisco, so we do a lot of traveling. We have a daughter, Murray, who is 5, and a son, Frazier, who is 3.
