Journal Entry #320 minute meditation.
“Water Meditation”
Directions: Picture a peaceful body of water as you meditate for 20 minutes. Choose one of the following affirmations to reflect upon after completing the meditation. Write the journal entry using the rubric provided to you during class.
I trust myself to follow my dreams.
I adapt with grace to any situation.
I release ideas that are no longer useful.
Journal Entry #4Students will write journal entry using Rubric upon completion of the meditation period.“Lotus Visualization” : Look at a picture of the Lotus flower and visualize throughout today’s meditation. See this flower as an analogy of your life. Just as a flower is unsullied by the mud out of which it grows, do not allow any negativity in which you are rooted to affect you. Just as a flower strives to reach the light, go with the flow of your environment and know what your goals are. Like the lotus that stands in water but is not wet, exist in the world without letting yourself be tarnished by it.
If any negative thoughts arise during this meditation, try not to dwell on them. Instead, see them as bubbles rising to the surface of the water around the lotus, and watch them burst one by one. If you do not identify with the thoughts, they cease to exist.
Affirmation Statement: I am ___________________.
