    Volunteering for Delaware City Schools SACC Program

    What is SACC?

    The School Age Child Care programs provide before and after school enrichment and recreational activities and academic support to Delaware City School students in all seven of our elementary and middle schools.  SACC also operate summer camps weekdays from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.  Children range in age from kindergarten to 8th grade.

    The mission of SACC is to provide a safe, healthy and fun environment that fosters responsibility and independence while promoting academic, physical, and social growth in all students.

    Volunteer Opportunities:

    • Share your hobby or special skill
    • Help with art activities
    • Play board games
    • Lead outdoor/gym activities
    • Read to or with a child
    • Provide homework help

    Volunteer Responsibilities:

    • Be consistent with your attendance – the kids look forward to your visits!
    • Know and follow program rules and procedures
    • Be an appropriate role model to the children
    • Have fun!
