personalized learning

Delaware City Schools is a dynamic, technology rich learning environment where teachers and students use technology to access, explore and use information in ways that engage students, help teachers and support learning. Students today have instant access to vast amounts of information with a global reach. We believe in empowering our students with the tools to become self-sufficient, life-long learners. Technology plays a critical role in the learning process.

    Our District Plan

Our plan is designed to develop students’ responsibility for managing their device and learning as they move through Delaware City Schools. Each student having access to a device, allows our teachers to enhance personalized instruction through blended learning.  Blended learning combines high quality face-to-face techniques with online learning.

    • Elementary students have access to district owned devices at school.

    • Sixth grade students each have a device that remains at school.  Seventh and eighth grade students have a device that they can take home.

    • High School students will bring their own device (BYOD). Student without a personal laptop or tablet may check out a loaner device from our Library Media Center.
