• What We Do
The Smith PTO sponsors these annual opportunities to help our children learn, grow,
and find their place in our community.  The Smith PTO Bylaws and Mission Statement can be found below.
These events and opportunities cannot exist without the support and participation of our volunteers.
We invite you to find your place in the PTO volunteer family.  Any amount of help that you can give—big or small—
is always appreciated, more than you may think! Contact Karen McCulloch, Volunteer Coordinator, at
kjk9x at yahoo.com to find out how your unique talents and resources can make a difference in your
child’s school experience. If you prefer, you can print and fill out the following form and return it to the Smith Office.

    Auction for the Arts:
    Date TBA
Smith's Art Integration program is well-known for providing students opportunities to learn core content in Math, Science, Language Arts and Social Studies through quality fine art, music, dance and theater lessons. Since its inception, the PTO Arts Council has sponsored over 45 guest artists, dozens of field trips, school musicals and ongoing instruction from an arts integration specialist. This program is funded entirely by the PTO's Arts Council-- no money from the school district is earmarked for its support. Most of the money to fund the program comes from donations from private individuals and businesses, grants and the annual Art Auction. The Auction for the Arts showcases student artwork as well as features both a silent and live auction. Babysitting is provided onsite.
