Will the district provide meals?
The district will continue to provide meals at select sites through our summer lunch Program. We will also have buses traveling to outlying neighborhoods. See the locations and bus schedule here. Please be patient and wait for the bus in the event it is running late.
Lutheran Social Services will continue food distribution at Willis Education Center on Tuesdays (4-6) and Wednesdays (12-2), although it will now be outside. Please call 877-LSS-MEAL for additional information.
How can families access other community services for assistance?
The Family Resource Center and our partners at Stregthening Families will remain open to assist our families. We have a variety of ways to assist families, but walk-in services are not available at this time. Please call to discuss your needs and an individual plan will be made.

Common Ground Free Store - Serving hot to-go meals, providing bags of groceries, and also hygiene items, diapers, and toilet paper on Tuesdays from 6:00-7:30p and Saturdays from 10:00a-11:30a. No documentation is needed to receive assistance.
What is the status of extracurricular activities and district events?
High School athletics are permitted to resume on June 1 with strict safety guidelines. To ensure good safety practices are established, our athletic facilities will only be open to our DCS high school athletic teams in our first phases of re-opening.Will kindergarten registration still take place?
Registration is taking place by appointment only. Please call 740-833-1124 to schedule an appointment.Is SACC open?
SACC and DLC will not take place at any of our schools through July 6. Families will not be charged SACC tuition during the closure. Fees already paid will be credited to your account for future tuition.
What is the status for schools for 2020-2021?
The district is awaiting guidance from state education and health leaders. We are currently planning for several scenarios in hopes to have our buildings open for next school year. We recognize we will need to follow safety and health guidelines and currently have several taskforces working to ensure we can meet and exceed all guidelines.
