Registration Procedures
Delaware City Schools welcomes your student!
For Preschool Age Students, please visit our Preschool Program page. There you will find information on how to become a peer model (application process) and additional information on early intervention.
For NEW Incoming Kindergarteners, please visit our Kindergarten Information page prior to registering. Students must be 5 on or before the first day of the school year they will be attending.
If your student already attends DCS, you do not need to re-enroll each year. Please visit our Updating Student Information page.
To register your student with DCS:
- All registration is done online. This can be done at your home or at central registry at the district office, Willis Education Center (74 W. William Street, Delaware, OH) by appointment (information below).
- Click on the “Register Now” button below to begin the registration process.
- Once the registration is submitted, central registry will review and approve. You will receive an email to complete the enrollment process through PowerSchool. This is done through Forms on PowerSchool. You may upload the required documents through the secure document upload in forms or elect to bring them to the Willis Education Center (74 W. William Street, Delaware, OH)
- Once all forms and required documents are received, you will receive notification from central registry. Please allow time for processing.
Required Documents:
- Student’s birth certificate as proof of age and birth date (must be original or certified, stamped copy). Student must be 5 on or before the first day of the school year they will be attending.
- Proof of Residence – the following are accepted: Original copy of a current gas, water, or electric bill that has your name or your spouses’ name and address within 30 days, lease or rental agreement (signed and still valid dates), a mortgage statement or a settlement state, deed, or closing document for a newly purchased home (must be followed up with a first gas, water, electric bill or mortgage statement within 30 days.
- If applicable, Certified copy of custody orders, divorce decrees, shared parenting plan or separation agreement along with any modifications to the original orders.
- Immunization records as follows. Download the Immunization Summary:

| **For students age 7 or older and who received Td or Tdap vaccine as the third part of the immunization series shall not be required to receive further doses of diphtheria, tetanus, or pertussis vaccine. Grade 7 must have additional Tdap if one not received in past 5 years. | ||||||
| NOTE: Varicella immunization for kindergarten students: Children who have had varicella (chickenpox) are exempt from the immunization. A statement from the parent/guardian or physician is acceptable to fulfill requirement. A valid immunization is one that is administered on or after the child's first birthday. |

You will need access to your email that you are providing to register, either on your phone or know the password to access it at the computer. You will also need to bring all of the required documents with you to the appointment in order to complete the enrollment.
