Questions often arise regarding the calculations of a student's GPA. Grade point averages are based on grades, values assigned, and the course credit value.

Hayes is on a 4.0 grading system with weighted grades.Advanced Placement and College Credit Plus classes are weighted and given one additional point when calculating the GPA for grades C- & above. Honors classes are weighted and given a 0.5 additional point when calculating the GPA for grades C- & above.Courses taken at the Delaware Area Career Center are assigned values as described in their student handbook.
