Dempsey Middle School offers a variety of athletic activities (see list below) in which students may participate provided they meet state, district, OHSAA, and school eligibility requirements. All students wishing to participate in Dempsey athletics need to complete the following:

If students are not able to attend the mandatory tryout date and times, the Athletic Department at Dempsey needs to be notified two weeks in advance. This notification does not guarantee the right to tryout for the specific athletic program.Click on the individual sport (Left Hand Side) for specifics about the athletic program. - Register and complete online athletic forms on FinalForms (Click here for instructions)
- Submit or have a current physical on file in the Athletic office.
- Pay $25.00 School Sanctioned Sport Pay-to-Participate Fee (payable to Delaware City Schools).
Participation in these activities is a privilege and not a right, and students may be prohibited from all or part of their participation in such activities by authorized school personnel without further notice, hearing and/or appeal rights in accordance with Board Policy 5610.05.
